“I just had a second listen to your recording and I am so moved by the power of your work. During your live performance, I was surrounded in a ceremonial way by a large herd of horses, actually layers upon layers of them, like outward ripples in a body of water. A thick, multicolored, Trojan-like horse presented himself as their voice or connection point. Many beautiful visuals involving the heart ensued. An old image of my heart that came to me in 2013, a dark heart made of blackened driftwood, was here replaced by a flaming torch on a bright wooden staff and set in my chest. I found it interesting that my palms were very activated by the drum and vocals in the beginning, and in turn my fingertips were very activated by the bells (or chimes?) at the end. The bowls carved out a wildly expansive stillness at the base of my exhale, which allowed me to tune into my heartbeat. Your vocals and Horse Drum are such special instruments.
